BMW Style 359 or BBS FI?

E90 M3 ZCP (comp pack) Style 359 wheels are not light. they are not even cast wheels for some (cost) reason. So, which way I’m going to save some unsprung rotating mass from my car. I’m limiting byself with three options from BBS forged line. I’m leaving out crazy expensive BBS FI-R, i believe it’s too much for my 9 year old M3.

So, I picked three models: BBS FI, BBS LM and BBS CI-R, all R19” front 9.5” and rear 10.5” wide. Here are the total weight of four wheels:

• ZCP Style 359 47.2 kg (base)

• BBS FI 34.8 kg (saved 12.3 kg)

• BBS LM 44.6 (saved 2.6 kg)

• BBS CI-R (saved 1.3 kg)

And the winner is BBS FI, cost per 4 wheels about € 6800.-
